Love comes unannounced yet it doesn't last forever, they say. These powerful celebrity couples were put on a pedestal by us back then, which made us all believe that the perfect partner does exist. Sad to face the reality that these iconic couples have all split up due to so many reasons and found their own happy ending with their other partners or their own selves. Back in the '90s, Depp and Ryder were the most envied couple in the entertainment industry. Jinona-as to how people used to address them-were believed to be very much in love with each other since Depp had the words 'Winona Forever' tattooed on his bicep. The couple announced that they were engaged after dating for five months until they officially split up because of pressure from society that they both couldn't have privacy.

Started as a scandal and continued as a legendary couple, Jolie and Pitt met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith when Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston back in 2004. After Aniston officially filed for a divorce in 2005, Jolie and Pitt started to go public. Their relationship lasted for 12 year after realizing that they had irreconcilable differences. As a result of their divorce, Jolie requested primary custody of their six children and they both are working together to raise their children as responsible parents.

The Vampire Diaries fans, where are you at? We know that this legendary couple fell in love while they were working together, playing as Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore in a supernatural TV series, The Vampire Diaries back in 2009 until 2017. Later in 2013 the couple called it quits and continued their relationship in a platonic and professional way to finish their work in the TV series. Despite the fact that Somerhalder now has an amazing life with his wife, Nikki Reed who starred in another vampire universe the Twilight Saga, people are still wishing that Dobrev and Somerhalder lasted forever.

This couple who managed to make it to headline news back in 2010 until 2018 is one of the most famous couples around the world as their fans are still holding the word Jelena close to their hearts even until now. They initially had dated in 2010 and eventually went public as a couple at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in February 2011 before splitting in 2011 and finally reconciled in 2013. The couple were having an on- and- off relationship until finally reconnected in 2017 then called it their final quits in 2018. The fans from both sides are still mentioning one another to this legendary couple even after Bieber now happily married Hailey Baldwin.
Liam Hemsworth & Miley Cyrus

Another couple who started off as professional colleagues then later created a big blow in the entertainment industry. Liam Hemsworth met Miley Cyrus when they were filming The Last Song over 10 years ago. The actor, Liam Hemsworth once told the publication, "When you start, you want to be professional, but when you're filming those scenes with someone and pretending to love them, you're not human if you don't feel something.". The couple later got engaged in June 2012 and called it off by September 2013. Even though in the next five years they confirmed that they got back together again and got married, they fell apart from each other again in 2020.
It is saddening indeed that they wouldn't be seen together in the same frame anymore since then, but we hold dearly in our heart that the future may bring them back together for any reason, be it professionally or romantically.
