Before the launch of cxomedia.id, we will be holding a press conference on 12th January. The introduction of CXO Media will be hosted by Adhiramsyah Choesin and guested by the CEO of CXO Media, Putri Tanjung, with Iyas Lawrence as the Editor in Chief. The launch of CXO Media will be celebrated through a virtual party on January 22nd, 2022 with exciting events, starring remarkable guests and spectacular performances by Raisa, Nonaria, Lany and NIKI.
Penyalin Cahaya (The Photocopier) on Netflix
The most awaited Indonesian movie finally arrived on Netflix! Wregas Bhanuteja's directorial debut for feature film snatched 12 Piala Citra during the Indonesian Film Festival last year-a record-breaking achievement for an Indonesian film, ever. The movie starred several emerging Indonesian artists such as Chicco Kurniawan, Shenina Cinnamon, and Jerome Kurnia. It tells the story of a college student named Sur who, after a celebration at her campus, found her drunk-selfie spread amongst her peers. This movie has raised the important issue of sexual assault in a higher education environment, and the momentum was spot on especially after Permenristekdikbud No. 30 Tahun 2021 was debated across the country. Penyalin Cahaya will be available on Netflix on January 12nd.
World Million Tree Day Movement
Every 10th January the world celebrates the World Million Tree Day movement or Hari Gerakan Satu Juta Pohon, a movement dedicated to eradicating deforestation, battling climate crisis, and restoring the balance of the ecosystem. Since the era of our former president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the Indonesian government has established a policy to plant a billion trees. But according to Martua Sirait, member of the National Forestry Board, the ceremonials of this day are not important as real actions taken to plant and nurture the trees. 10th January should be a reminder for us, and the government and corporations, that each day should be dedicated to the environment.
Blood Red Shoes new album release
Blood Red Shoes' sixth studio album Ghost on Tape will be coming out on January 14th, 2022. Originally, this album was written before their most recent EP, Ø. Previously, the British alternative rock duo Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell released their first single from this album titled Morbid Fascination. The band's signature angsty rock has taken a darker turn in this new album, combining their strong drum and guitar with gothic influence. According to the band, many songs on this album paint a picture of a dark and unsettling world. Compared to their first album Box of Secrets (2008), this album reflected a more mature and complex self of the band. Ghost on Tape will be available on digital streaming platforms on January 14th.

Rejoice, slasher movie fans everywhere! The latest installment in the Scream franchise is coming to movie theaters on 14th January. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the movie brings old and new characters to the story. This latest installment is a direct sequel to Scream 4 (2011), and the first Scream franchise to be directed was not by Wes Craven who died in 2015. Old cast like Courteney Cox, who played the role of reporter Gale Weathers and Neve Campbell, who played the role of Sidney Prescott, will reprise their role. The story continues 25 years after the original killing took place in 1996. An ancient mystery is resurfacing, and a new killer bearing the mask of Ghostface will terrorize Woodboro once again.
